The Designbuildshow Project was started in 2018 and seeks to provide both makers and the general public with new ways to interact with websites. Each year, we make changes that reflect both our observations and feedback from exhibitors and patrons of the show. This year, we have gone with a category chosen specifically by past contributors: Seating. Each year, makers request some kind of chair project. In the past, we have been wary of the added complications in such a unique form. This year, however, we feel prepared to show them in their best light. Read through this Call for Entries below, then follow the links at the bottom for the Rules and Eligibility and our Inspiration Board. “Take a Seat” Interpretive Category – The objective of the Interpretive Category is to enable the public to view, in one area, the our makers’ creativity and ingenuity within a single genre. Critical to this category is a patrons ability to actually sit down. Makers should be present, or leave explicit instructions, to allow visitors to try their websites throughout the weekend.
